I really love Elsa but I’m worried about the Frozen association. I know it was a name before the movie but is the association just too strong?

That’s one of my favorite names. I loved it from the show 1883. But unfortunately I think frozen has claimed the name forever. I have adults my age named Ariel. I was born in the 90s and still associate the name to little mermaid.
My two boys love the frozen movie in my house and we just visited Disney world. I would definitely say it’s a big name. It’s still widely popular.

It is strongly associated with Frozen, in the same way Jasmine was with Aladdin or Ariel with the Little Mermaid. But I don't think that's a reason not to use it because the association is positive and fading as the years go on (although I could totally see them making another Frozen movie)

I’d automatically think of frozen, unfortunately you won’t be able to escape the connection to the movies but that’s not a bad thing!
